Hinagiku’s Hisabafuru

CATALOGUE: Weapon

OWNER: Nam Hinagiku (inherited by her biological mother who was a Shapeshifter wielder, name unknown)

DESCRIPTION: A common Hisabafuru with its unique half-crescent blade. Hinagiku’s one however has scratchy surface on the blade. Her aru also possesses two different colors, which if taken closer look, the part near toru has a trace of hand-sewn stitch. The fabric has distinct surface as well. The grey color is coarser than the red one because Khrataya fiber is commonly coarser than cotton.

toru (hilt): made of young Bara wood

aru (cloth): contrasting fabric difference, leaving a hand-sewn stitch combining two different fabrics;

  • red - the original one, made of aru cotton

  • grey - made of Khrataya fiber

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • The ‘torn’ toru came from the incident of Hinagiku fought against Officer Zan Kimari. Kimari was wounded in the end, so Hinagiku tore her aru to cover her wound. Here shows that Hinagiku possesses uncommon vigor as a non-Shapeshifter, which she also gained from her training under Kal Nuui and Musutori Ryuko (the daughter of Musutori Arini).

  • The rough scratchy surface of the blade came from Hinagiku’s usage aside for self-defense; trimming hair, peeling potatoes, engraving wood and clay, everything in the daily activity. Of course she only shows it to her traveling friends.

  • Hinagiku’s Hisabafuru isn’t made of shesium ores. The metal is an alloy that came from Khramu Cave through the Northern Miners — thus, the guild symbol on the blade surface near the hilt.
