Rhine River shore. Bad Honnef, Germany

‘Schneestrand’, in German, means snow beach.

Bad Honnef is a suburb of Bonn, located in the southeastern part. For the past couple of days, heavy uninterrupted snowfall invaded my city, which is something uncommon in winter because my city tends to have warmer weather. The lingering snow turned to be a muddy view inside the city, so I decided to take the bahn (metro) after work to the suburban area.

It was still morning, the sun had just risen. The temperature was below zero degree Celcius. The snow was pristine, as there wasn’t a lot of people who walked around here. It reached ankle-deep.

I was always curious about how Rhine River shore looked like with snow. This view could be only usually seen from a tourist postcard.
