Frostsee I

Rheinaue Park. Bonn, Germany

I was taking a morning walk after work. The park is located only several stations away from my workplace. Rheinaue is the biggest park in my city.

It was one of the coldest winter during the season. The temperature sank until -6°C. I was curious about the pond, because maybe in such cold the water might freeze. Turned out, it did. It was half-freeze, though, so the non-freezing part was dominated by the ducks and birds.

‘Frostsee’, in German, means freezing lake. It may be not about a lake here, but I like the sound Frostsee more than Frostteich (means freezing pond).
